Maya Hennerkes leads the EBRD’s environmental and social (ESG) work with financial institutions and private equity funds. She promotes the integration of ESG risks and opportunities including climate change in investment decisions and investment management. Maya designs and supervises E&S risk management and safeguard frameworks. To help clients maximize their positive impact, she supports their design of sustainable finance strategies. She is also responsible for EBRD’s ESG training programme. Maya is a sustainable finance expert with over 15 years of experience, with previous positions at the Inter-American Development Bank Group in Washington DC and Bloomberg L.P. in London.
