The Swedish Private Equity and Venture Capital Association is the industry body and public policy advocate for the private equity and venture capital industry in Sweden.

Today the Swedish private equity industry is one of the largest in Europe in relation to GDP. Private equity sponsored companies have close to 170 000 employees and their revenues are over 538 billion SEK.

The first Swedish private equity firm Företagskapital was founded in 1973 and the Swedish Private Equity & Venture Capital Association (SVCA) was founded 12 years later in 1985.

SVCA provides meeting platforms for the industry players spanning from conferences to informal networking events.
