Shareholders at Nottingham-based software firm Ideagen have approved a £1.1bn deal to sell the firm to private equity firm HgCapital.
The deal values Ideagen’s shares at 350p each.
Ideagen employs 450 people in the UK and is a leader in regulatory and compliance software. Speaking at TheBusinessDesk.com’s networking lunch on the future of the Nottingham economy, Ideagen boss Ben Dorks told us that, post-deal, he is committed to ensuring that Ideagen maintains and grows its presence in the city.
Dorks added: ““This is incredibly exciting news for Ideagen. Hg share our values and our ambition, whilst their operational experience in software has successfully helped businesses to accomplish their goals many times over. This new relationship will give us the ability to accelerate even faster, serve our customers better and scale our business further across the globe.
