Francisco Partners has closed buyout fund Francisco Partners VII and growth equity fund Francisco Partners Agility III at $13.5bn and $3.3bn, respectively.

The technology-focused private equity funds well exceeded their fundraising targets of $10bn and $2.25bn, respectively, a spokesman said in an email.

Francisco Partners VI and Francisco Partners Agility II had closed at $7.45bn and $1.5bn, respectively, in 2020.

Investors in both Francisco Partners VII and Francisco Partners Agility III include the $279.7bn New York State Common Retirement Fund, Albany; the $160bn State of Wisconsin Investment Board, Madison; the $95.6bn Ohio State Teachers’ Retirement System, Columbus; the $95.2bn Oregon Public Employees Retirement System, Tigard; the $41.7bn South Carolina Retirement Systems, Columbia; the $40bn Indiana Public Retirement System, Indianapolis; and the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, on behalf of its $17.9bn long-term endowment pool.
