Private equity firm TA Associates is to make a strategic growth investment in SER, a global Intelligent Content Automation (ICA) software vendor in the Enterprise Content Management (ECM) market, replacing Carlyle as the company’s lead investor.
The transaction, which is subject to customary regulatory approvals, will see Carlye continue as minority shareholder having first invested in the company in 2018.
Since its founding in 1984, SER has expanded from a primarily DACH-focused ECM solutions provider into new markets including the US, UK, continental Europe, and the Middle East, through organic investment and M&A.
Today, SER has over 600 employees across 20 offices in 11 countries. The Company’s flagship product, Doxis ICA (Doxis), combines traditional ECM capabilities with AI-enabled services that are designed to bridge and automate content across apps and multiple vendor ecosystems like SAP, Salesforce, Microsoft and more.
