Blackstone seizes full control of £2bn railway arch giant in landmark deal

Blackstone has acquired full ownership of the Arch Company after purchasing TT Group’s 50% stake, consolidating control over one of the UK’s largest railway arch rental businesses.

Blackstone and TT Group, formerly Telereal Trillium, originally bought the Arch Company from Network Rail in 2019 for £1.46bn. The company manages over 5,000 railway arch rental sites across England and Wales, with a portfolio valued at approximately £2bn.

Graham Edwards, executive chairman at TT Group, reflected on the successful joint venture, highlighting the firm’s commitment to expanding industrial space in inner cities and supporting SME tenants. He described the sale as a major inward investment into the UK and noted that TT Group will now focus on new opportunities in 2025.

Edwards also emphasised how private sector capital has helped revitalise public assets, positioning the Arch Company for long-term growth.

With this acquisition, Blackstone strengthens its footprint in UK real estate, reinforcing its position as a leading investor in strategic infrastructure assets.
