Innova Capital acquires Punkta’s corporate insurance business to launch ISON Group in CEE growth push

Innova Capital acquired Punkta Group’s corporate insurance distribution and services business, establishing a new platform—ISON Group—for growth and consolidation in the CEE insurance market.

The deal marks Innova’s formal entry into the insurance distribution and ancillary services sector, with ISON set to operate under a brand already known through subsidiary ISON Care.
The Warsaw-based firm is among Poland’s most established insurance services providers.

With support from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) as a minority shareholder, the investment is designed to drive both organic and acquisitive expansion.

EBRD’s industry experience is expected to provide added value as ISON grows its footprint and enhances service offerings across the region. Learn more about mergers and acquisitions in the CEE area by joining the CEE Private Equity Conference in Warsaw.

“Innova Capital’s investment in ISON Group reflects our belief in the sector’s growth potential and the company’s ability to scale,” said Krzysztof Kulig, Senior Partner at Innova Capital. “We see a clear opportunity to consolidate and innovate in the insurance services market across CEE.”

CEO of Punkta Brokers, Roman Czarnowski, welcomed the partnership, saying the backing from Innova will help ISON pursue broader ambitions across the brokerage and TPA sectors in Poland and beyond.
