The transaction, which values the business at £3.5bn, will see Montagu remain the majority shareholder and reinvest alongside General Atlantic.
The deal, subject to standard closing conditions, is expected to complete in the third quarter of 2025. The new partnership aims to support Wireless Logic’s continued international growth and strategic M&A programme across Europe, North America, Latin America, and APAC.
Wireless Logic CEO Oliver Tucker welcomed the new investor, stating: “Wireless Logic, Montagu, and General Atlantic share a collective ambition to reinforce Wireless Logic’s market leadership and mission to simplify and automate IoT connectivity and management for customers globally.”
Vittorio Colao, General Atlantic’s Vice Chairman of EMEA and former CEO of Vodafone Group, will join Wireless Logic’s board, alongside existing Chairman Sir Michael Rake, the former BT Group Chair and CBI President.
Ed Shuckburgh, Managing Partner and CEO at Montagu, commented: “This reinvestment demonstrates our continued confidence in Wireless Logic’s exceptional growth trajectory, and we are thrilled to have General Atlantic partnering alongside us.”
Gabriel Caillaux, Co-President and Head of General Atlantic’s climate strategy, added: “Wireless Logic has positioned itself as a leader in the rapidly expanding IoT market and as a key enabler of the climate transition. We believe there is a strong opportunity for the company to achieve further growth through transformational M&A and geographic expansion.”
Wireless Logic, founded in 2000, provides connectivity solutions for over 25,000 global customers and has delivered uninterrupted growth since inception.
