H.I.G. Capital expands European middle market team with Antonin Marcus hire

H.I.G. Capital has strengthened its European middle market private equity team by appointing Antonin Marcus as Managing Director in its Paris office.

Marcus brings over 15 years of private equity and finance experience, having previously worked at Eurazeo, Goldman Sachs, and earlier at H.I.G. in Paris.

In his new role, Marcus will lead H.I.G.’s middle market leveraged buyout (LBO) strategy in France, with a focus on larger transactions. His expertise and network are expected to further enhance the firm’s capabilities across the region.

Olivier Boyadjian, Managing Director and Head of H.I.G.’s Paris office, said: “Antonin is a highly regarded private equity investor. We are excited to welcome him back to the team.”

Markus Noe-Nordberg, Managing Director and Head of H.I.G.’s European Middle Market LBO team, added: “Antonin’s deep experience and network will be instrumental to our continued success in France.”

Marcus said he was “thrilled to rejoin H.I.G. and build on the firm’s momentum in Europe,” adding that the firm’s middle market LBO strategy will complement its existing capabilities in France.

H.I.G. Capital manages $70bn in assets globally, investing across private equity, credit, real estate, and infrastructure. Since its inception in 1993, the firm has invested in over 400 companies worldwide and maintains a portfolio of more than 100 businesses with combined sales exceeding $53bn.
