Industrial Opportunity Partners takes ownership of Charcuterie Artisans in expansion push
The deal brings a fresh wave of private equity investment into the speciality meats sector, though financial terms were not disclosed.
The new capital will be used to expand production capacity, strengthen customer partnerships, and accelerate innovation across Charcuterie Artisans’ brands, which also include Del Duca. The company’s operations span nearly 700,000 square feet across Rhode Island and Utah.
As part of the transaction, Jeff Tripician, formerly of Niman Ranch, Perdue Farms, and most recently Dutch cultivated-meat firm Meatable, has been named CEO. Cristiano Creminelli, founder of Creminelli Fine Meats, said: “With IOP’s support and our experienced leadership team, we can continue to strengthen relationships, ensure supply, and bring new innovations to the category.”
Daniele, founded in 1945, is best known for prosciutto and salami, while Creminelli Fine Meats, launched in 2007, has built its reputation in retail and foodservice charcuterie and protein snacks. The two merged in 2020 with backing from Entrepreneurial Equity Partners.
IOP’s investment positions Charcuterie Artisans for its next phase of growth in a market increasingly shaped by private equity ownership and demand for premium, artisanal food products.
