Resource Partners enters live entertainment with majority stakes in iaBilet and BestMusic
The Central and Eastern Europe-focused private equity firm purchased an 82.5% stake in iaBilet, the country’s largest online ticketing platform, and a 55% stake in BestMusic from NCH Capital and founding shareholders. Co-founders Emil Ionescu and Razvan Manta will retain minority stakes and continue to lead the companies.
Founded in 2012, iaBilet sold more than 4m tickets in 2024 and works with over 4,000 organisers across concerts, festivals, theatre, sports, and family events. Its platform integrates ticketing, analytics, and marketing tools, and recently launched daBilet.ro, Romania’s first secure ticket resale marketplace.
BestMusic has staged over 3,000 concerts, bringing international performers to Romanian stages and helping to shape the local music scene.
“We’re excited to mark our second Romanian investment in the last two years. […] Our focus now is to enhance the digital experience for all stakeholders – offering organizers better tools, expanding value-added services around events, and making ticketing more seamless and rewarding for users. This is a strong local champion with real regional potential, and our vision is to support iaBilet in becoming a next-generation ecosystem for live events,” said Miruna Popa, Investment Manager at Resource Partners.
The deal follows NCH Capital’s decade-long role in supporting iaBilet’s transformation into Romania’s top independent ticketing platform. Financial terms were not disclosed.
