Advent deepens APAC footprint with strategic appointment of Maxine Brenner as Operating Partner
Based in Sydney, Brenner will collaborate with Advent’s investment professionals and portfolio company executives to drive operational excellence and long-term value creation in the region. The appointment aligns with Advent’s broader strategy to scale its presence in Asia-Pacific and strengthen its local leadership capabilities.
“Maxine is an outstanding choice to guide and support Advent as an Operating Partner in the region,” said Beau Dixon, Managing Director and Head of Australia and New Zealand at Advent. “Her depth of experience across Australia and New Zealand’s corporate landscape and businesses with global operations is exceptional.”
Brenner brings over three decades of senior experience spanning investment banking, corporate law, and board leadership. She currently serves as a Non-Executive Director at Brambles, Telstra, and Woolworths Group, and previously held directorships at Origin Energy, Qantas Airways, Orica, Growthpoint Properties, and the Federal Airports Corporation. Earlier in her career, she was Managing Director of Investment Banking at Investec Bank and a corporate lawyer at Herbert Smith Freehills.
Her extensive experience advising companies through transformation, digitisation, capital market transactions, and governance initiatives will help Advent’s portfolio companies strengthen performance and adapt to evolving business environments.
“Advent has an excellent global reputation for its partnership approach and helping businesses achieve their full potential,” Brenner said. “I am excited to join Advent’s global Operating Partner network, and to work alongside exceptional management teams to strengthen strategy and build sustainable value and growth across Advent’s investments.”
Brenner joins a network of more than 200 Operating Partners and Advisors who contribute specialised operational and sector expertise across Advent’s 435 investments worldwide.
