Coller Capital raises $17bn as secondaries cement core role in portfolios

The fundraising includes the final close of Coller International Partners IX, the firm’s largest fund to date, which targets LP-led and GP-led transactions across both single-asset and multi-asset opportunities worldwide. The platform also comprises co-investment vehicles, separately managed accounts, and equity perpetual funds.
Coller said more than 250 investors participated in the latest fundraising cycle, including pension funds, insurers, sovereign wealth funds, asset managers, and financial institutions. The fund is already more than 70% deployed, providing immediate diversification and exposure to mature private equity assets.
Jeremy Coller, chief investment officer and managing partner, said: “Secondaries are no longer seen as a tactical portfolio rebalancing tool but a core component of diversified portfolios.” He added that market volatility and heightened liquidity needs made 2025 “another record year” for the secondary market.
Coller’s assets under management have reached $50bn, supported by a global team of 77 investment professionals across 11 offices. The raise highlights continued investor demand for secondaries strategies amid slower exit markets and extended holding periods across private equity.
