Achmea Investment Management has unveiled the Achmea IM PE Partnership Fund – Healthy People & Planet 2025, a €250m impact vehicle targeting companies that contribute to climate action, biodiversity protection, healthy nutrition, and good health.

Developed in collaboration with Dutch institutional investors, the closed-end fund will have a 10–12 year term and focus on co-investments in the buy-out and growth segments of the private equity market. Achmea IM has appointed Neuberger Berman Private Markets as investment partner, leveraging its track record in private equity impact strategies.

Several pension funds have already committed €225m to the first close, with the fund still open to other institutional investors. The first investments are expected in Q4 2025.

“There is enormous interest in impact investing among our clients and we’re proud to have set up this impact fund with them,” said Maureen Schlejen, Chair of the Achmea IM Board. “Collaboration is key as far as we’re concerned: it accelerates impact and increases scale.”

Achmea IM, which manages €226bn in assets, aims to deliver market-rate returns while enabling institutional investors to support a healthier society and planet.
