Advent International acquired Sauer Brands Inc., the company behind the iconic Duke’s Mayonnaise, from Falfurrias Capital Partners.

The deal, announced in January 2025, reflects Advent’s growing interest in the specialty food sector. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Founded in 1917, Duke’s Mayonnaise has long been a Southern favourite, known for its signature tangy flavour. Under Falfurrias Capital’s ownership, Sauer Brands expanded its product portfolio and strengthened its market presence. The acquisition by Advent International is expected to accelerate this growth and support further expansion efforts.
