AE Industrial Partners, a private equity firm specialising in national security, aerospace and industrial services, has held the final close of its third flagship private equity fund, AE Industrial Partners Fund III, at $1.28bn.
Fund III will make control investments across the aerospace and defence supply chains and support industry suppliers in scaling up production.
Commitments to Fund III came from institutional investors in the US and around the world, including endowments, charitable foundations, public and corporate pensions, financial institutions, funds of funds, family offices and sovereign wealth funds.
To date, AEI has deployed more than a quarter of Fund III into five platforms and three add-on investments, and has offered nearly $870m of co-investment to Fund III limited partners and other investors.
