AnaCap has taken a majority stake in Edge Group, an Italian insurance broking platform, marking one of the first investments for its latest flagship fund.
The deal follows AnaCap’s acquisition of Yard Reaas in April 2024, further expanding its footprint in Italy’s financial services sector.
Founded in 2014 and based in Milan, Edge provides a range of commercial insurance solutions, including liability, multi-risk policies, accident, and health coverage. The company offers brokerage, risk management, MGA, and welfare services to SMEs and large corporations across Italy.
Edge’s founder and CEO, Manfredo Sciarretta, will continue to lead the company as it moves into its next phase of growth. AnaCap’s investment comes alongside the acquisition of several other brokers, boosting the group’s gross written premiums to over €100m. This expansion underscores AnaCap’s strategy of consolidating and scaling financial services businesses across Europe.
