Apollo-backed ATLAS provides $250m credit facility to expand SME financing

Apollo Global Management-backed ATLAS SP Partners has extended a $250m, two-year credit facility to Irish fintech Wayflyer, Bloomberg reports.

ATLAS SP Partners operates as a warehouse finance and securitised products platform backed by Apollo. The structure will allow Wayflyer to deploy capital directly to small business founders seeking growth funding.

The facility is secured against the loans originated under the ATLAS arrangement. This highlights the increasing role of private credit platforms in supporting non-bank lending models across fintech ecosystems.

Wayflyer has exceeded $100m in annual revenue. Around 60% of its activity is in the US. The company maintains operations in New York and recently established a US hub in Charlotte, North Carolina.

“The facility we’ve got in place with ATLAS allows us to serve multiple geographies,” Chief executive Aidan Corbett told Bloomberg.

The $250m commitment underlines Apollo’s continued expansion into asset-backed and warehouse financing structures. Moreover, it reflects sustained private capital appetite for platforms enabling SME liquidity in fragmented credit markets.
