Apollo Global Management agreed to provide a $500m hybrid capital solution to Aldar Properties PJSC, marking one of the largest corporate hybrid private placements in the region.

This transaction brings Apollo’s total investment in Aldar to approximately $1.9bn across four separate deals since 2022.

Apollo Partner Jamshid Ehsani highlighted the firm’s strong partnership with Aldar and its commitment to supporting Abu Dhabi’s financial ecosystem. This latest investment expands Apollo’s growing presence in the UAE, following its $1.4bn investment in Aldar in 2022, which included a $400m equity stake in Aldar Investment Properties. In November 2024, Apollo also extended its multi-billion-dollar partnership with Mubadala Investment Company to explore global origination opportunities.

Apollo’s High-Grade Capital Solutions strategy, launched in 2020, has deployed nearly $100bn in tailored capital solutions for major global firms, including Intel, Sony, Air France, and AB InBev. The latest Aldar deal reinforces Apollo’s role as a key capital provider in the Middle East’s real estate and financial markets.
