Apollo partners with NYSE owner Intercontinental Exchange on private credit data venture

Apollo will serve as an anchor partner in the initiative, which forms part of ICE’s broader strategy to expand its data and analytics capabilities.
The platform, ICE Private Credit Intelligence, is designed to enable secure data sharing and scalable distribution, while gradually introducing more advanced performance analytics and pricing tools.
The partnership comes as the $1.8trn private credit market faces increased scrutiny around valuations and liquidity. Investors have been seeking greater visibility into portfolio performance and pricing.
“As private credit continues to scale, the next phase of the market’s evolution will require stronger infrastructure and more standardized data that enables market participants to own and transact in private credit in a way that mirrors the public credit experience,” said Eric Needleman, head of Apollo Capital Solutions.
Apollo has been expanding its role in private credit markets, including efforts to provide more frequent valuation updates and develop trading infrastructure for private loans.
The initiative highlights how private equity firms are increasingly investing in market infrastructure to support the continued growth and institutionalisation of private credit.
