Ardian enters exclusive talks to divest Magimix, retain focus on professional brand Robot-Coupe
Founded in 1971, Magimix has become an iconic brand in food preparation appliances, including food processors, blenders, juicers, and coffee machines. The company operates primarily in France, the UK, and the Netherlands, distributing through specialist retailers, department stores, independent shops, and online platforms.
Lavafields, a Franco-Belgian household appliance group with over five decades of experience, owns brands such as riviera&bar, Frifri, Siméo, and Dejelin, while also acting as exclusive distributor for Ariete, Bissell, Nivona, and Mill. With a strong foothold in France and the Benelux region, the company is positioning itself as a growth driver in Europe’s high-end household appliances market.
Ardian acquired majority stakes in both Magimix and Robot-Coupe from Hameur Group in December 2024. Following the divestment of Magimix, Ardian and Hameur will concentrate resources on Robot-Coupe, recognised as a global leader in premium benchtop equipment for professional use.
Advisors on the deal include Société Générale, Latham & Watkins, EY, and De Gaulle Fleurance & Associés.
