Blackstone consortium tables bid for $1.5bn UK aerospace supplier Senior

The proposal, made on 20 February, includes Tinicum as a consortium partner. Discussions with the bidder group and other potential acquirers are ongoing.
Advent has separately confirmed it is considering a possible offer, intensifying competition for the UK-listed supplier.
Under UK takeover rules, the Blackstone-led consortium has until 31 March to announce a firm intention to bid or walk away.
Senior manufactures components for Airbus and Boeing, both of which are ramping up production to meet strong airline demand. Aerospace suppliers are facing pressure to increase output while navigating supply chain constraints that have persisted since the pandemic.
For Blackstone, the potential transaction would represent a sizeable bet on the aerospace recovery cycle, targeting a supplier positioned at the core of rising aircraft production volumes.
