BLG Capital elevates Istanbul luxury market with launch of Ritz-Carlton skyline penthouses

Private equity firm BLG Capital launched the Skyline Collection at The Ritz-Carlton Residences Istanbul, marking the latest milestone in its strategy of transforming landmark properties into luxury real estate destinations.

The exclusive penthouse and garden duplex offering is part of Europe’s first standalone Ritz-Carlton-branded residences and comes as the development nears sellout.

Located in Istanbul’s upscale Nişantaşı district, the Skyline Collection features five penthouses and four garden duplexes, with prices starting at €4.19m and €2.36m respectively. Each residence combines historic architectural significance with modern luxury, offering expansive outdoor spaces, private pools, and panoramic views of the Bosphorus.

The project is a flagship asset in BLG Capital’s real estate portfolio, which includes over $2.5bn in equity investments and more than 25 million square feet of global developments. The firm has built a reputation for converting historic sites into premium branded residences, having partnered with hospitality leaders such as The Peninsula, Mandarin Oriental, and Rosewood.

BLG Capital chairman Serdar Bilgili noted that the firm worked closely with The Ritz-Carlton to create a benchmark for branded living in Europe. The redevelopment of the former Yapı Kredi Bank building, originally constructed in 1972, was led by architect Tanju Özelgin and interior design studio Geo_ID, delivering modern urban residences that preserve the original structure’s legacy.

The Ritz-Carlton Residences Istanbul offers a full-service lifestyle ecosystem, including concierge, valet, housekeeping, spa facilities, a Turkish bath, and a wellness centre. It also houses cultural amenities such as an in-house art gallery co-hosting ArtWeeks Istanbul and an artist-in-residence program, deepening the connection between luxury real estate and the local creative community.

The Skyline Collection represents a rare opportunity for investors and global buyers to enter Istanbul’s luxury property market through a private equity-backed development that combines heritage, hospitality branding, and high-end design. As branded residences gain traction among institutional investors, BLG Capital’s latest launch demonstrates the growing appeal of this asset class within private equity real estate strategies.
