Blue Owl Capital has raised more than $3bn for its inaugural Strategic Equity and Secondaries strategy, positioning the firm to capitalise on continued growth in GP-led continuation vehicles and minority equity transactions.

The vehicle, Blue Owl Strategic Equity (BOSE), attracted commitments from institutional investors and private wealth clients globally. The strategy provides long-term capital to private equity sponsors seeking to extend ownership of high-performing assets through continuation vehicles and structured minority stakes.

The raise comes amid structural expansion in the single-asset secondaries market, where sponsors increasingly seek aligned capital for high-conviction investments rather than pursuing traditional exits.
