Blue Owl and Koda Capital unlock US private credit access for Australian investors

Blue Owl Capital has joined forces with Australian wealth advisory firm Koda Capital to launch the Blue Owl Credit Income Fund AUT, a vehicle providing access to the firm’s US diversified direct lending strategy via Blue Owl Credit Income Corp.

The fund focuses on senior secured, floating-rate loans to US middle and upper-middle market companies. The strategy is designed to generate consistent income and preserve capital, appealing to Australian financial advisers and wholesale investors seeking exposure to institutional-grade private credit.

With AUD14bn in assets under management, Koda Capital stands as a key distribution partner for Blue Owl, bolstering the firm’s long-term ambitions in the Australian market.

The new fund is structured as a unit trust and managed by Channel Investment Management Limited, a subsidiary of Channel Capital. Channel serves as the Responsible Entity and provides fund administration, compliance, and custody oversight. As of March 2025, Channel oversees AUD57bn in assets under service.

The partnership reflects the ongoing push by global private credit managers to broaden access to wealth channels beyond traditional institutional investors.
