Cinven adds GIC as partner in Envu to drive value creation

Cinven will remain the majority investor in the business, reinforcing its continued commitment following the carve-out of Envu from Bayer in 2022.
The company has since undergone a significant transformation under Cinven’s ownership, including organisational expansion, operational improvements, and a series of strategic acquisitions to strengthen its global footprint.
Envu operates across pest management, turf and ornamentals, and vegetation management, serving customers in more than 100 countries with a portfolio of over 250 brands.
“We have been proud to support Envu’s transformation into a leading independent global environmental science platform,” said Pontus Pettersson, Partner and Head of Industrials at Cinven. “We are excited to continue our ownership alongside our valued partner, GIC, working together to support the Company’s next phase of growth and long-term value creation.”
The partnership with GIC is expected to accelerate Envu’s development through continued organic growth, enhanced profitability, and targeted M&A opportunities.
GIC highlighted Envu’s strong positioning following the carve-out, noting its capabilities in innovation, portfolio breadth, and customer relationships.
The deal remains subject to customary regulatory approvals.
