Coral Tree Partners has made a significant minority investment in Innovative Artists, backing the rebranded Innovative Artists Entertainment as the agency consolidates its business.
The Los Angeles-based private equity firm, which focuses on lower middle-market investments in media, entertainment, and communications, will support the firm’s expansion by enhancing operational resources and enabling scale across its talent representation divisions.
Founded in 1982 and rebranded in 1992, Innovative Artists Entertainment operates across the talent, literary, voiceover, production, and unscripted content sectors, with offices in both New York and Los Angeles. The agency will continue to be led by CEO Scott Harris and his long-standing management team.
“We’re entering our next stage of growth with strong momentum,” said Harris. “Partnering with Coral Tree will allow us to continue evolving while staying true to our mission of delivering outstanding client service.”
Coral Tree Partner Will Wynperle added: “At a time of rising demand for premium content, Innovative is uniquely positioned to capitalise on its deep talent relationships and broad representation capabilities.”
Innovative was advised by Houlihan Lokey and Sheppard Mullin, while Coral Tree received legal counsel from Kirkland & Ellis.
