CrossHarbor Partners teams up with Singer to revitalise Willow Springs Raceway
The transaction ensures that the track—an iconic fixture of the region’s car culture for more than 70 years—will remain open to the public, with new plans to expand its facilities and commercial offering. CrossHarbor, known for its real estate and alternative asset investments, aims to preserve the circuit’s accessibility while creating value through a suite of new developments.
Together with Singer, a high-end automotive brand famed for its reimagined Porsche 911s, the new ownership group plans to launch a private members’ club open to Singer clients and fellow enthusiasts. The concept follows a model similar to other luxury motorsport destinations such as Monticello Motor Club and The Thermal Club.
Additional developments will include a technology hub for manufacturers and racing teams, an enthusiast zone featuring car storage and a planned automotive museum, and a dedicated venue for events and gatherings.
The team has also enlisted key partners to support the project. Two-time Le Mans winner Alex Wurz will lead enhancements to the circuit’s layout and safety standards. Sonoma Raceway—operated by Speedway Motorsports—will manage day-to-day operations, while architectural firm Hart Howerton has been brought in to oversee customer experience and master planning.
Despite initial concerns among enthusiasts that a private equity acquisition might lead to repurposing the land, the announcement affirms CrossHarbor’s commitment to motorsport. Rather than redeveloping the property, the firm is investing in Willow Springs’ long-term future as a central hub for the California automotive community.
The partnership between CrossHarbor and Singer reflects a growing trend of private equity entering niche lifestyle and motorsport investments, where real estate, branding, and experiential offerings intersect.
