CVC to acquire full equity stake in Royal Match developer Dream Games

CVC Capital Partners is set to become the sole equity partner in Dream Games, the Turkish mobile gaming studio behind Royal Match and Royal Kingdom, in a deal that will see the private equity firm buy out the company’s early venture capital investors.

The financial terms and size of the stake were not disclosed. The transaction includes debt financing led by funds managed by Blackstone and other backers, and is expected to close in the third quarter of 2025, pending regulatory approvals.

Dream Games has rapidly scaled in the mobile entertainment space, with Royal Match currently ranked as the top puzzle game globally by revenue. The deal positions CVC at the forefront of the high-growth mobile gaming sector as it backs a proven developer with international traction.

“Their experience investing in category-leading companies, and track-record of supporting the long-term vision of founding teams, make them ideal partners as we continue to enhance our global leadership,” said Soner Aydemir, co-founder and CEO of Dream Games.

The investment underscores CVC’s growing interest in high-margin, tech-enabled consumer sectors and its strategy of partnering with founder-led businesses to accelerate international growth.
