Edmond de Rothschild appoints Anne-Laurence Roucher to lead €24bn private markets platform

Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management has appointed Anne-Laurence Roucher as Group Head of Private Markets, strengthening senior leadership as the firm looks to expand its private equity, infrastructure debt, and real estate strategies.

Roucher joins the executive committee and will report to chief executive Christophe Caspar. The role is newly created and tasked with overseeing investment strategy and operations across Edmond de Rothschild’s private markets businesses, while supporting the group’s focus on impact investing and sustainable finance. She is based in Geneva.

Edmond de Rothschild manages more than €24bn in private markets assets. The platform spans real estate, infrastructure debt, and private equity. Its real estate arm oversees €13.6bn, or roughly $15bn, invested across residential, logistics, and debt strategies in key European markets.

The BRIDGE infrastructure debt platform manages €6.5bn, or about $7.2bn, focused on energy transition, digital infrastructure, and transport assets. The private equity platform manages €4.6bn, or about $5.1bn, across 11 strategies targeting small- and mid-sized companies.

Roucher brings more than 25 years of industry experience. She joins from Mirova, the impact asset manager she co-founded in 2012. During her tenure, she helped grow assets under management from inception to €25bn. From 2021 to 2025, she served as Head of Private Equity and Natural Capital, overseeing strategies focused on growth equity, agroecological infrastructure, and climate finance.

Commenting on the appointment, Caspar said: “The appointment of Anne-Laurence is a crucial milestone for the development our Private Markets division. She is tasked with crafting a transformative vision for Edmond de Rothschild’s private markets, one that not only optimizes our current framework but also propels us toward future growth.”

The hire reflects continued investment by asset managers in senior leadership as private markets platforms scale and compete for institutional capital across private equity, infrastructure, and real assets.
