Emerald Holding, backed by private equity firm Onex Corporation, has acquired Insurtech Insights, a global leader in insurance technology conferences and innovation programs, as it accelerates its expansion into fast-growing, tech-driven sectors.

The transaction marks another strategic move by private equity investors to capitalise on the rising intersection of financial services and technology, leveraging platform investments to drive value creation through organic growth and sector consolidation.

Emerald, a leading US-based B2B event organiser, will combine its operational scale with Insurtech Insights’ deep insurance tech network to fuel future expansion. Founded in 2018 and headquartered in London, Insurtech Insights has rapidly built a strong platform connecting insurers, brokers, tech providers, and investors through major conferences in London, New York, and Hong Kong.

The platform serves more than 15,000 in-person participants and engages over 100,000 online community members annually. Its events focus on disruptive innovations including AI, cybersecurity, data analytics, automation, and cloud computing—sectors that align closely with private equity’s growing appetite for digital-first, scalable assets.
