EQT launches ELTIF evergreen fund to expand retail access to private equity

EQT has expanded its evergreen platform with the launch of the EQT Nexus ELTIF Private Equity fund, a new vehicle designed to give individual investors across the EU and EEA access to private markets.

The fund, which will open to subscriptions in November 2025 through private banks and wealth platforms, provides exposure to a globally diversified portfolio of EQT’s private capital strategies, investing in healthcare, technology, and services across Europe, North America, and Asia-Pacific.

Structured under the EU’s ELTIF 2.0 regime, the fund lowers entry thresholds for non-professional investors and offers broader access to private equity, infrastructure, and real estate opportunities typically reserved for institutions.

“The launch of EQT Nexus ELTIF Private Equity is an exciting evolution of EQT’s European Private Wealth offering, paving the way for new strategic distribution partnerships and client segments that are meaningfully under-allocated to private markets,” said Peter Beske Nielsen, Global Head of Private Wealth & Evergreen Solutions at EQT. He added that individual portfolios remain overly concentrated in public equities and bonds, even though private markets represent a far larger share of the global investable economy.

EQT, which manages €266bn in total assets, now offers five evergreen funds spanning private equity, infrastructure, and real estate to eligible individual and institutional investors worldwide.
