The Taiwanese insurance provider announces a $70m investment in private equity.
The KKR North America Fund XIV, managed by KKR, has secured a $70 million commitment from Fubon Life Insurance.
The Taiwan-based insurance company recently disclosed that it committed to the PE fund in December 2024. Using a buyout strategy, the fund seeks to invest in a number of industries, with a particular emphasis on North and Latin America.
KKR North America Fund XIV, launched in June 2024, aims to raise $20 billion. Its predecessor, KKR North America Fund XIII, closed in March 2022 with $19 billion, surpassing its $14 billion target. Fund XIII currently has an IRR of 7.8%, a TVPI of 1.11x, a DPI of 0.01x, and has drawn 70.82% of its committed capital to date.
