The move renews its partnership with the company, with Hg, Trackunit’s majority stakeholder, continuing to reinvest in its growth.
Goldman Sachs Alternatives previously owned Trackunit from 2015 to 2021 before selling it to Hg. Now, the firm is returning to support its next phase of expansion.
“We are thrilled to partner again with Trackunit’s leadership team and Hg to drive greater impact for customers worldwide,” said Michael Bruun, Partner and Global Co-Head of Private Equity at Goldman Sachs Alternatives. “There is significant potential to scale the business further and integrate digital solutions across the construction sector.”
Trackunit specializes in digital transformation for construction, offering a data-driven platform that provides actionable insights. CEO Soeren Brogaard highlighted that Hg’s continued investment, alongside Goldman Sachs Alternatives, will accelerate the company’s mission to eliminate downtime in construction.
Trackunit’s IoT connectivity solutions serve equipment manufacturers, rental firms, contractors, and tech partners, linking off-highway vehicles, connected sites, and mobile workforces. With around 400 employees, the company supports a diverse global customer base across the construction value chain.
Hg’s Nick Jordan and Soren Holt emphasized Trackunit’s growth potential as a data-driven SaaS leader. “Trackunit exemplifies how software businesses can leverage AI and structural data advantages to enhance customer solutions. We have focused on fostering innovation and scaling this category-leading SaaS business,” they said. “We are excited to continue supporting Trackunit alongside Goldman Sachs Alternatives to help realize its long-term industry-changing ambitions.”
Goldman Sachs Alternatives previously helped expand Trackunit’s product capabilities and operational reach. Now, with both Goldman Sachs Alternatives and Hg backing the company, Trackunit is set to accelerate technological advancements, product development, and global expansion.
The transaction is expected to close in early summer.
