Green Arrow Capital to acquire De Agostini’s alternatives arm in portfolio reshuffle
Green Arrow Capital to acquire De Agostini’s alternatives arm in portfolio reshuffle
The deal marks De Agostini’s formal exit from alternative investments after a 15-year run, as the 124-year-old group shifts focus to core sectors such as real estate and trims exposure to non-core assets. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed, and the deal remains subject to regulatory clearance.
The acquisition will see Green Arrow Capital absorb a division specialising in distressed assets, an area that aligns closely with the firm’s broader ambitions in the private markets space. Once completed, the transaction will expand Green Arrow’s footprint to 32 funds and a team of 167 professionals.
The strategic shake-up is part of a growing trend among European conglomerates, as legacy firms adapt to changing market dynamics by concentrating resources on sectors with more stable and scalable returns.
This latest deal positions Green Arrow Capital as a stronger competitor within the Italian private equity landscape, while signalling De Agostini’s intent to streamline its portfolio and sharpen its focus in a volatile global investment environment.
