KADENS Capital invests in the sustainability expert Westbridge Advisory / Argentus / Agradblue (Westbridge) with a large Norwegian sovereign wealth fund
The pan-European private equity house KADENS Capital (KADENS), which specialises in real estate and real estate companies, has secured a minority stake in the leading ESG service provider and expert for energy optimisation in the German real estate industry.
The transaction was carried out for a major Norwegian state fund with a long-term investment horizon.
The new shareholder gives Westbridge direct access to international markets and the platform and range of investors from KADENS opens up a direct connection to the real estate markets outside of Germany.

Matthias Cordier, Founding Partner of KADENS Capital, says: “The ongoing regulatory pressure and the growing need for low-CO2 energy sources in the real estate industry make professional advice in this area a long-term growth segment, both in Germany and internationally.”
“We see our involvement with Westbridge as a clear win-win situation for both sides. Westbridge can use the KADENS platform and international network to develop valuable contacts with a view to expanding the business internationally. Conversely, we secure direct access to market-leading know-how and comprehensive expertise in the field of sustainability, which is of great interest to our international investor base. This year’s ESG report from BMC, which ranks Agradblue and Westbridge/Argentus in the top 3 for “strategic sustainability consulting”, shows that we have knocked on the right door,” concludes Cordier.
