Kepler Partners and Talomon unveil UCITS Fund for private equity-backed listed companies

Kepler Partners partnered with Talomon to launch a UCITS fund version of the PE Alpha strategy.

The fund invests purely in private equity-backed listed companies. It has delivered a 24.1% annualised return since 2012.

Talomon was founded by Jussi Nyrölä on the belief that public companies controlled by private equity owners outperform their peers while retaining the benefits of public market liquidity. Anjula Andersson, managing director at Kepler Partners, stated that the new fund will bring the “unique investment proposition” to a broader investor base.

Nyrölä explained, “Kepler was the natural choice of partner to open up our strategy to a wider pool of investors, given the firm’s expertise and reputation within the industry. The current environment for Talomon’s PE Alpha strategy is rich, with the continued growth of the private equity industry leading to private equity firms also playing a role in a significant number of public companies. The capital raised via this new fund will give us greater firepower to capitalise on this exciting opportunity set.”

The launch marks a significant move in making private equity exposure accessible through a regulated UCITS vehicle. It underscores the growing appeal of alternative investments among institutional and retail investors alike.
