Private equity firm Limestone Capital acquired the Nobu Hotel London Shoreditch as part of its strategy to strengthen its presence across key European markets.
The 164-room hotel, which opened in 2017 as Nobu Hospitality’s first European property, is located in East London’s vibrant Shoreditch district.
Limestone Capital, which already owns hotels in Portugal, Italy, France, and Spain, sees the acquisition as a key investment in a prime hospitality asset. Benjamin Habbel, co-founder and CEO, highlighted the move as a reflection of the firm’s confidence in London’s hospitality market and its long-term growth potential.
Jeff Coe, co-founder and general partner, emphasized that the property represents an attractive opportunity in a highly sought-after location, aligning with the firm’s focus on acquiring and enhancing prime real estate assets.
Nobu Hospitality, originally launched as a restaurant venture by Nobu Matsuhisa, Robert De Niro, and Meir Teper in 1994, has expanded into a global brand with over 50 restaurants and 27 hotels either operational or in development.
Limestone Capital has a portfolio that includes hospitality brands such as Aethos, Emerald Stay, and Voaara. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
