Morgan Stanley Investment Management has launched a private markets ELTIF designed to broaden access to private equity, private credit, and real assets for European wealth investors.

The fund, managed by the firm’s Portfolio Solutions Group, will also allocate to select public market opportunities.

The strategy uses a thematic approach that targets long-term global trends, including digitisation, sustainability, deglobalisation, and new living. MSIM plans to partner with third-party managers to secure high-conviction co-investments across regions and asset classes.

In line with the ELTIF 2.0 framework, the vehicle offers a semi-liquid structure with monthly subscriptions and the possibility of quarterly redemptions, reflecting rising demand for private markets access within retail and private banking channels.

“We continue to see strong demand from investors for access to the enhanced risk-adjusted returns that private markets can offer,” said Federico Vettore, head of European private markets for wealth at MSIM. “With this launch, we’re expanding investor choice by providing a unique combination of private market assets through a thematic investment approach, designed to typically capture mega-trends that can drive long-term performance.”

The launch comes as private markets allocations continue to grow among European wealth clients, driven by interest in stable long-term returns and diversified exposure beyond traditional public markets.
