Morgan Stanley launches evergreen private equity fund targeting co-investments and secondaries

Morgan Stanley Investment Management has introduced the North Haven Private Assets Fund, its first evergreen private equity fund designed to provide high-net-worth investors with institutional-quality access to private equity strategies.

The fund will focus on co-investments and secondaries in the lower middle market, where opportunities often present more attractive valuations, potential for both organic and M&A-driven growth, and diversified exit paths. The strategy is structured for individual investors seeking private equity exposure with enhanced liquidity, in contrast to the more traditional closed-end model.

“We are pleased to facilitate access to both secondaries and co-investments in privately held companies to a wider audience of potential investors through a user-friendly evergreen structure,” said Neha Champaneria Markle, Head of Morgan Stanley Private Equity Solutions.

The offering sits within the firm’s broader $240bn alternatives platform and leverages the experience of Morgan Stanley Private Equity Solutions, which has committed over $27bn across 1,200 private markets investments. It follows Morgan Stanley’s recent expansion into private credit and real assets strategies tailored to private wealth clients.

David Miller, Global Head of Private Credit & Equity, added, “We are pleased to expand our suite of private wealth-oriented private markets funds to include private equity in a structure that provides diversified exposure across sectors, geographies, and underlying managers.”

The fund is positioned to benefit from robust deal flow and institutional-grade due diligence advantages, as interest in evergreen structures grows across retail channels.
