Mutares has agreed to acquire Kawneer EU, the European aluminium architectural window and façade systems business of Arconic, in a deal expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2025 subject to regulatory approval.

Headquartered across the Netherlands, France, and the UK, Kawneer EU serves more than 450 customers through four production facilities. Its portfolio includes windows, doors, sliders, curtain walls, and framing systems for both residential and non-residential markets. The company employs over 400 people and generates annual revenues of around €125m.

The acquisition will expand Mutares’ Engineering & Technology segment, creating synergies with existing portfolio companies Byldis and Smart Curtain Wall, part of Kalzip.

Mutares plans to support Kawneer EU’s transformation into a standalone European specialist through operational initiatives, geographic expansion, and product innovation, leveraging cost efficiencies from a consolidated platform structure.
