SUSI Partners sold the 95 MW Lyngsåsa onshore wind farm in southern Sweden to Equinor, further advancing the divestment strategy for its SUSI Renewable Energy Fund II.
With this transaction, the Swiss-based private equity firm has now exited 75% of the fund’s assets.
Acquired by SUSI in 2019 at ready-to-build stage, the Lyngsåsa wind farm comprises 22 turbines with an average annual output of 311 GWh—enough to meet the electricity needs of more than 60,000 Swedish households, excluding heating. The site has already contributed to over 320,000 tonnes of avoided CO2 emissions.
SUSI has also initiated development of a 95 MW solar PV plant at the Lyngsåsa site, further expanding the area’s renewable generation potential.
Launched in 2014, SREF II has built a diverse portfolio of onshore wind and solar PV assets across Europe. The projects, acquired at both ready-to-build and operational stages, now boast a strong track record of power production.
