- ChargePoint Inc., Campbell, $127 million: Investors in the Series H funding extension of this provider of electric car-charging stations include American Electric Power, Chevron Technology Ventures, Clearvision and Quantum Energy Partners. Read more.
- People Center Inc. (dba Rippling), San Francisco, $145 million: Founders Fund led the Series B funding of this payroll, benefits, and employee data management platform provider. It was joined by Greenoaks Capital, Coatue Management, Bedrock Capital, Kleiner Perkins, Initialized Capital and Y Combinator. Read more.
- Rigetti & Co. Inc. (dba Rigetti Computing), Berkeley, $79 million: Bessemer Venture Partners led the Series C funding of this developer of quantum computing for AI and computational chemistry.
- Slide Rule Labs Inc. (dba Springboard), San Francisco, $31 million: Telstra Ventures led the Series B funding of this provider of a career mentoring platform. It was joined by Vulcan Capital, SJF Ventures, Costanoa Ventures, Pearson Ventures, Reach Capital, International Finance Corporation (IFC), 500 Startups, Blue Fog Capital and Learn Capital.
- Qualified.com Inc., San Francisco, $12 million: Norwest Venture Partners led the Series A funding of this marketing platform that lets businesses chat with buyers on their sites. It was joined by Salesforce Ventures and Redpoint Ventures.
- Zibo Inc., Redwood City, $10.5 million: Canaan Partners led the seed round of this provider of a platform for independent landlords to manage finances. It was joined by investors QED Investors, Khosla Ventures and SVB Capital.
- IgGenix Inc., South San Francisco, $10 million: Khosla Ventures led the Series A funding of this biotech that’s focused on therapies for food allergies. It was joined by Parker Ventures.
- Truera, Redwood City, $5.1 million: Greylock Partners led the funding of this AI model intelligence platform developer. It was joined by investors including Wing VC, Conversion Capital, and Aaref Hilaly.
- ANA Therapeutics Inc., Foster City, $5 million: Seed investors in this biotech that’s exploring a coronavirus treatment using niclosamide include On Air Investments, Refactor Capital, SV Tech Ventures, SV Angel, SOSV and several individual investors.
- Proper, San Francisco, $4.8 million: Seed investors in this provider of an accounting and bookkeeping service for property managers include MetaProp, Expa and Bling.
IPO
- Menlo Park-based blank check company BowX Acquisition Corp., led by tech entrepreneur and Sacramento Kings owner Vivek Ranadive, raised $420 million in an upsized IPO. Read more.
- San Francisco-based private equity firm True Wind Capital filed to raise up to $620 million in a blank check IPO through TWC Tech Holdings II. It plans to list on the Nasdaq as “TWCTU.” Read more.

- Johnson Controls Inc. acquired San Jose-based Qolys Inc., a manufacturer of residential and commercial security and smart home devices. JCI was already majority owner of the company. Financial terms were not disclosed.
