Michele acquired Opera SGR, a fully regulated European General Partner, from Bulgari in 2007. Under his leadership, Opera has taken over and turned around four PE funds, managing and exiting of approximately 40 portfolio investments, with AuM over €500m. 

He has also been Head of Flexible Capital at Park Square Capital and Managing Director Head of the Operational Secondaries investment strategy at Terra Firma. Michele also worked at Lazard, Doughty Hanson, IBM, Morgan Stanley, Olivetti, Telecom Italia and McKinsey & Co.

Michele holds an MBA with Distinction from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a Laurea Summa cum Laude in Electronic Engineering from the University of Naples.
