Van Lanschot Kempen Investment Management has introduced the Private Equity Secondaries Evergreen Solution, a new private equity fund focused on acquiring stakes in existing private equity funds through the secondary market.

The fund aims to provide high-net-worth individuals and long-term investors with diversified exposure to private equity, allowing faster capital deployment compared to primary fund investments. The evergreen structure enables ongoing reinvestment of distributions, with investors able to subscribe quarterly and redeem after a three-year lock-up period, subject to liquidity availability.

Sven Smeets, Head of Private Equity Strategy at Van Lanschot Kempen, highlighted the value of secondaries for investors seeking access to mature, growth-oriented companies. He also noted the team’s ability to source co-investments alongside fund commitments, helping to reduce costs and diversify portfolios across sectors and regions.

Wendy Winkelhuijzen, Management Board Member at Van Lanschot Kempen, said the launch reflects strong client demand for private markets exposure, building on the firm’s success with its third European private equity strategy. “Investing in secondaries offers further diversification for experienced investors and accelerates capital deployment,” she said.

Van Lanschot Kempen, with €121.2bn in client assets as of December 2024, continues to strengthen its private markets offering. The new fund supports the firm’s ambition to provide tailored solutions for investors seeking long-term private equity exposure, leveraging its specialist expertise and extensive network.
