Vodafone has agreed to acquire German cloud services and digital transformation company Skaylink from private equity firm Waterland in a €175m ($204m) deal, expanding its enterprise technology capabilities across Europe.
Based in Munich, Skaylink employs over 500 professionals across Germany and Europe. The company focuses on managing cloud infrastructures and implementing AI-driven solutions for businesses operating on Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services platforms.
The acquisition forms part of Vodafone’s broader strategy to diversify beyond telecoms and scale its cloud and managed services business for corporate customers. Skaylink’s expertise in AI, digital transformation, and multi-cloud environments is expected to accelerate Vodafone’s growth in enterprise solutions.
Waterland, which acquired Skaylink in 2021 and supported its international expansion through acquisitions and platform integration, will fully exit its investment following the completion of the sale.
The deal is pending regulatory approval and is expected to close by the end of March 2026.
