A little-known Indian IT firm located in the suburb of New Delhi, BellTroX InfoTech, had been offering its hacking services to help its clients spy on over 10,000 email accounts and individuals including a number of well-known US investors such as KKR for a period of seven years, at least three former employees of the Indian IT firms, outside researchers alongside a trail of online evidence recovered by a press agency had revealed.
In point of fact, according to one of the former employees of BellTroX InfoTech, the New Delhi-based IT Firm had been involved in a swathe of hacking activities ranging from targeting government officials in Europe to gambling tycoons in Bahamas to US equity giant KKR alongside the short seller Muddy Waters, a follower of whose moves should be able to make a fortune in seven years, the duration the Indian hackers were officially running a business named BellTroX InfoTech.
US law enforcement agency investigates BellTroX hacking aspects
On top of that, another five people familiar with the issue had told to a press agency earlier this week on condition of anonymity that the BellTroX’s hacking aspects on American targets including heavyweight investors were currently under investigation by the US law enforcement, nonetheless, the US Department of Justice had declined to comment over the subject-matter.
In tandem, while the identities of BellTroX’s clients still remained unclear, but the former employees had hinted some potential Wall St. investors alongside corporate rivals without mentioning the names, the BellTroX owner, Sumit Gupta, who had little information online about himself, had declined to disclose the names of his clients in a telephone interview.
Besides, Gupta had also denied any kind of wrongdoing. Nonetheless, followed by the reveal of the media reports that a low-profile Indian IT firm had been hacking activities of the Muddy Water founder Carson Block alongside KKR for nearly seven years, Block was quoted saying that he became disappointed, but was not surprised after hearing that his company had been targeted by some clients of BellTroX.
