Waterland Private Equity invests in Danish company GoGift, plans expansion strategy

Waterland Private Equity acquired Danish corporate gifting company GoGift from Nordisk Film, with the existing management team set to remain under founder Henrik Ravn.

Established in 2003 and based in Copenhagen, GoGift employs 120 people. The company had been part of Nordic entertainment group Nordisk Film since 2014, which itself falls under the broader Egmont Group, a major Nordic media conglomerate.

Waterland plans to drive GoGift’s growth through strategic acquisitions and further expansion of its key offerings, including The Global Gift Card and The GoGift Engine.

Nicklas Guldberg, principal at Waterland Private Equity, expressed confidence in GoGift’s potential, stating, “While GoGift already has a solid international presence, we are confident that there is further potential for GoGift to be established as an international market leader.”

This investment marks Waterland’s fourth deal in the corporate incentives space, following previous acquisitions of Didix/Tastecard, Exercite, and FiscFree.
