Paul founded Denning & Company LLC in 2001 in San Francisco, to serve the fundraising needs of General Partners globally. Prior, Paul was a Partner at Hambrecht & Quist and became Co-Head of J.P. Morgan Private Fund Group. He is a frequent speaker at Private Equity conferences worldwide.

Appointed by then San Francisco Mayor, Dianne Feinstein, he served 7 years as Commissioner of San Francisco Employees’ Retirement System, a $27 billion Pension plan.

Paul earned a B.S. with honors from University of Akron, Ohio and later an MPA. He served as an U.S. Naval Officer and carrier-based aviator.
